Isadora 4 Buy-to-Own Licenses, (Isadora 4 Perpetual and Isadora 4 USB Key Licenses), behave differently than their earlier counterparts.

Isadora 4 Buy-to-Own Licenses permanently support the use of any version of Isadora 4 released up to two years after the purchase date. This support period can be extended by purchasing a year of updates, but if you wish to download an older version of Isadora released within the support period for your license you can go to the TroikaTronix Legacy Downloads page.

How to Extend the Support Period for Isadora 4 Perpetual Licenses

(Please note that the process described in the steps below is not in place yet on the License Portal as it will not be necessary until two years from the release of Isadora 4.)

Isadora 4 Perpetual Licenses will always work with versions of Isadora released up to two years after the purchase date. To work with versions of Isadora released more than two years after the purchase date you will need to:

  1. Log in to the License Portal.
    (Login details were sent in an email after your first order since Isadora 3's release).
  2. Select the "Licenses & Activations" tab.
  3. Click on the Isadora 4 Perpetual License for which you'd like to extend the support period.
  4. Under "Additional Information", click "UPGRADES".
  5. In the Upgrades & Updates tab, you’ll see "Quantity: #" showing the number of seats on your license.
  6. "Seats to update" defaults to the full amount.
  7. Click "UPDATE THIS LICENSE".
  8. You'll be taken to a cart page where you can enter and apply a discount code if you have one.
  9. Complete your purchase.
  10. If your license's support period end date was in the future, it will be extended by one year from that date; if it has passed, your license's support period will be extended by one year from the date of purchase (today). You'll be able to see the new end date for your Isadora 4 Perpetual License's support period in the License Portal by going to the "Licenses & Activations" tab and selecting your license.

NOTE: If you have a multi-seat license you must purchase the year of updates for all the seats on the license; it is not possible to extend the support period for only some of the seats on an Isadora 4 Perpetual License.

How to Extend the Support Period for Isadora 4 USB Key Licenses

Isadora 4 USB Key Licenses will always work with any USB version of Isadora released up to two years after the purchase date. To work with USB versions of Isadora released more than two years after the purchase date you will need to extend the support period on your license. To do this:

  1. Open a support ticket and tell us:
    1. The name associated with your license (e.g., Isadora Duncan)
    2. Your license's serial number, (i.e., the five digits [0-9] after "ISA")
    3. The email address associated with your license (for ownership verification)
    4. If desired, the new email address you'd like associated with your license for future ownership verification.
  2. If all the information you provided to us matches what we have on record, within one business day, or up to two business days for orders placed on weekends and holidays, we will respond to you, and you'll be able to purchase a year of updates for your license.
  3. Follow the link we provide and add one "Year of Updates" product to your cart for each seat on your license.
  4. If you have a discount code, type it into the proper field and then click the apply button.
  5. Complete your purchase.
  6. We must extend the support period for Isadora 4 USB Key Licenses manually, so you will receive a new six-line registration code via email within 1-2 business days that will allow your existing USB key to function with any USB version of Isadora 4 released up to a year after the date of purchase.

NOTE: We only send license information to the email address we have on file – this would be the email address you used when you purchased your license unless you've told us to change it. Make sure to use that email address to avoid delay!

NOTE: If you have a multi-seat license (one with multiple USB keys) you must purchase the year of updates for all the seats on the license; it is not possible to extend the support period for only some of the seats on an Isadora 4 USB Key License.
